Shasta is in my blood. It is the greatest, most amazing lake on the planet. I met my best friends on that lake, and I brought my best friends to that lake. It does not get any better than Shasta in the middle of summer. Houseboats, wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing, BBQ-ing, jumping off the roof. No doubt, life is good when you are out on Shasta.
So, now I live in Denver. I don't get out to Shasta as often as I'd like but I will be there for a trip with some old friends in August. I can not wait. And neither can those friends. It's going to be a good time. I started this site to encourage others to visit Shasta, and in the meantime, take care of it. It is a reservoir for the state of California, so lots of folks depend on it's supply. There's even talk of raising the dam just to accommodate the future needs of the state. All I'm asking is that we take care of that lake, so it's around for our kids, and our kid's kids. You can water your lawn two minutes less than you normally do, you can fix your leaky toilet, you can turn the faucet off when you brush your teeth or shave. Every little bit helps keep Shasta as full as possible.
Today I went to Tommy's Slalom Shop, the one place in Colorado where you can see some amazing ski and wakeboard boats, and I can talk shop. Colorado doesn't have a single lake that can even compare to one of the smallest coves at Lake Shasta. I dropped off some stickers. Hopefully the folks that visit Tommy's will grab a sticker and want to plan a trip to Lake Shasta. The cool thing is that they were premiering Billabong's new wakeboard video tonight which is called Out of the Pond. I don't think it features Shasta, it's got more exotic locales like Tahiti and The Philippines, but it looks like it's got some sweet wakeboarding in it. This is some footage:
Feel free to email keepshastafull@gmail.com and we'll send you a free sticker. Or shoot me an email to let me know what you want to know or hear about Shasta. Spread the word and come back often, we'll update regularly.

PS - a shout out to Will and Katie and their baby boy, William Jr., born this morning. Will's a big Shasta fisherman, and we learned how to skurf and wakeboard together at Shasta. Congrat's Will!
