Lake Shasta Is Filling Up Faster Than Our Houseboats on a Holiday Weekend!!

If you blinked this week, you might have missed it—Lake Shasta just shot up nearly 10 feet in a matter of days, thanks to the atmospheric river that drenched NorCal. And we’re not complaining!

As of Monday, February 3, 2025, the lake is sitting pretty at 1,037 feet above sea level, which means it’s now 82% full—or, in other words, a whole lot closer to where we like it. With two more storms expected to bring another few inches of rain this week, we’re looking at even more water to fuel our favorite pastimes: houseboating, wakeboarding, and, of course, dramatically pointing at the rising lake level and saying, "Would ya look at that?!"

Let’s not forget—just a month ago, the lake had already climbed 40 feet since December, proving that Mother Nature is not messing around this winter. This latest storm dumped over 8 inches of rain in Redding alone, and with more on the way, we might just see Shasta topping the charts faster than a country song about trucks and heartbreak.

For those of us who live and breathe lake life, this is the kind of news we love. So grab your rain gear, do a little rain dance, and let’s Keep Shasta Full—because summer is coming, and we’ve got boats to float.
