We've all seen the water level at Shasta at it's best and it's worse. Not to be a downer, but here are some shots of the lake at it's lowest level since 1992, and this was just last October. I remember 1992. That's right, high school. Shasta High in fact. When I wasn't running a shaved ice stand that summer, I was working at the gas dock and Toy Box at Holiday Harbor. And I was wakeboarding, a lot. I think we were riding Wake Tech wakeboards and busting out as many fashion airs as possible. And Eric Perez came to the harbor rocking the Hyperlite Pro. Eric was one of the first pros. Wow, those were the days.
Gotta say, the lake is so big, we still had fun when the water was low. We just got muddier launching boats. To keep the lake from getting this low again, remember one thing: DON'T WASTE WATER.
And don't look at this as Lake Shasta half-empty, look at this as some sweet glass to ride!

NOTE: this shot is from last October, the lake is about 60 feet down right now, not nearly as low as this.
